We are husband and wife duo, Sophie and Alex. I am Sophie, an ex-fashion editor (hence the one doing the writing!) and now work as a personal stylist alongside running RECONCEPT with my husband Alex from our home in the Cotswolds. Alex is the business head and our chief furniture restorer. We are the co-founders of mid century and vintage furniture brand, RECONCEPT Furniture.

Our business began in 2021, out of our love of British and Danish mid century modern design, our desire to assist others in creating a unique and eclectic home style and our commitment to help everyone make more sustainable lifestyle choices and buy less new for their homes.

After sourcing some beautiful pieces of vintage furniture for our Georgian townhouse, we now curate a collection of stylish mid century and vintage furniture for the modern home. We breathe new life into old furniture gems so they work effortlessly in our modern homes – restoring, refurbishing, reinventing, reviving or simply reloving these beautiful old souls ready for their next chapter…
