SOLD – Mid Century Corner Unit / Drinks Cabinet by Nathan

This mid century corner unit from the 1970s Nathan ‘Squares’ collection by British furniture makers Nathan, is such a versatile statement piece for even the smallest of rooms, It is ideal as a drinks cabinet, display cabinet, bookcase or storage unit. Its compact, space efficient corner design beautifully combines style and practicality. The corner unit features a spacious cupboard at the bottom (ideal for bottles), a good sized storage compartment above (perfect for glasses), the main top shelf of the base unit and two smaller corner display shelves which can be adjusted in height to suit your requirements. The very cool retro style corner unit features the iconic Nathan squares design on the front of the cupboard doors and while we have left the unique in its original teak wood finish and just added a protective layer of beeswax, the unit is also ideal for refurbishing and painting to fit with your colour scheme. The unit is is very good vintage condition and has spent its life up to now, cared for and cherished by one family in Hertfordshire. It is solid, structurally sound and with just a few very minor signs of age appropriate wear. There is no damage or significant marks. The Nathan blue makers mark sticker has worn away but you can see where it once was!

Condition – The corner unit is is very good vintage condition, solid, structurally sound and with just a few very minor signs of age appropriate wear. There is no damage or significant marks. There are several height adjustable holes for the shelves and there was an additional hole originally used to fix the unit to another, which we have sympathetically filled and painted to match the teak. As you can see from the pictures, this is barely visible. The Nathan blue makers mark sticker has worn away but you can see where it once was!
