Skovby Teak Mid Century Dining Table 1960s, Danish, Extendable – £1490

This handsome and unique shaped mid century dining table was designed and manufactured by Danish furniture makers Skovby during the 1960s. It has been beautifully crafted from teak wood and features the iconic and ever so stylish angled feet. This vintage dining table is ideal for the modern home, as when not extended it is a very compact square size seating up to 4 people (see pictures) and when extended with a centre additional leaf, is a generous size to seat 8 family and friends (dimensions listed below). The table is in superb condition for its age, with no damage and is structurally sound. We have kept the wood in its original condition and simply applied a layer of beeswax to enhance and protect it. It also features the Skovby makers mark on the underside. Price £1490

Condition – The dining table is in superb condition for a table of this age. It has been really well looked after with just a few very minor signs of age related use. The extendable mechanism works perfectly and smoothly. A beeswax polish has been applied to the wood to enhance and protect it.
