SOLD – Mid Century Dressing Table & Detachable Mirror by G Plan

We have given this light oak vintage G Plan dressing table with detachable mirror a new lease of life for the modern home. This G Plan dressing table was cherished and beautifully cared for by one loving owner in Cheltenham, but when we acquired it, the wood looked a bit dull and tired, so we have sanded it down and re-varnished the entire unit with a lovely light yet rich varnish, for a sleek and chic finish. We have kept the mirror in its original condition with its lovely patina and natural mirror ageing, refurbished the wooden mirror attachments and replaced the two small drawer handles. There is a huge amount of storage space with one extra large bottom drawer, two large drawers above this and two small hinged drawers at the top which open fully on the diagonal. The dressing table also features the G Plan makers mark. This mid century dressing table is from the G Plan Brandon range and dates back to 1950s and we can’t wait for it to find its new modern home. Condition – The dressing table is in excellent refurbished condition and the new varnish has brought out the natural grain and patina. The mirror shows a natural patina and minor age related marks to the edge. This does not affect its use – just adds to the charm. Mirror arms on the reverse of the unit have been replaced as part of the refurbishment. The unit has been sanded down and revarnished to enhance and protect the wood.
